28 weeks pregnant and nervous about baby movements?
Posted by admin on Nov 11, 2009
Im 28 weeks pregnant and still not noticing a pattern to my babies movements. Also some days i go hours without feeling her move. I dont know if this is normal. It feels very inconsistent. This is my first pregnancy so i dunno what is normal… please offer me advice. thank you.
I think it’s fine. My baby doesn’t move constantly and he’ll sleep for hours at a time and I wont feel him. Also I’m 37wks and he still had no "regular or normal" patterns as to when he’s awake and when he likes to sleep. He just does whatever he wants (lol). He was still kind of quiet for me at 28wks. As long as you’re feeling your baby throughout the day, everyday now then all is well. Some docs have mothers do "kick counts", but if your doc hasn’t told you to do those then don’t worry about them. As long as she’s moving she’s ok. Your little one will start to sleep a lot more as these last few weeks go by. If it’ll make you feel better you can go into L&D and they’ll check her. She sounds totally normal to me though. Congrats on your little sweet pea
diagnosed with diabetes during pregnancy?

im 31 weeks prego with my 3rd baby and was just diagnosed with gestational diabetes, I have never had diabetes before and dont know nothing about it. I am known for having 9 lb babies though. im worried, scared, upset at myself. What should i expect from this? will my gd go away after the baby or will i always have it? will my baby be ok or have problems? please i need some advice from women who have or have had gd before? thanks so much in advance!
well what you should expect is to have your dr tell you one way to control it is through what your eating. Keeping foods with simple sugars out and keeping simple carb’s to a low as well will help. yes it will go away once you’ve had the baby. May take a bit of time but yes it does. GD can cause problems but only if you allow it to get out of control, if you do what your suppost to, you should have no problem.
Protiens ie such as chicken is a good food. I know when i eat chicken it drops my blood sugar, vegi’s that don’t have a high sugar, celary.
Also get walking! lots of walking….cant stress that enough walk walk walk….or if you can get in a pool, ( i don’t know if you can be in a pool and pregnant, sorry if you can’t) but even getting in a pool and moving there will help tremendosly
Im 28 weeks pregnant and have noticed my baby dropping is this normal?

Im only 28 weeks pregnant and have noticed that my belly has dropped quiet a bit is this normal has anyone else dropped this early?
That could just be the baby moving down. The baby is able to move all over now. I am also 28 weeks and when she hangs out at the bottom it makes me look like I am carrying lower then when she is towards my ribs. She also stays under my belly button for the most part. She only wonders every now and then.

I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes. The doctor put me on a strict diabetes diet and I have to test my blood sugar 4 times a day. Does anyone know of any foods that will keep me full but still follow the diabetes diet? This diet is leaving me starving for most of the day. Im 29weeks and 5 days. Please help.
hi hun although i am not a dr but i have this as well, and i,m 33 weeks pregnant and they hadme on that same diet with my first son who came out at 4lbs and 7 ounces and i told the same dr he was full of shittt and i absolutly will not go on a diet with this one! they didn’t have this
GD crap 50 years ago and i for one am not for half the crap dr’s say now day’s but i just thought i would give you my opinion and keep in mind they say if you have GD the baby will come out bigger there for i will not go on a diet i,m 4’7 and 100lbs i,m sure you can understand the reason why i,m not going through with it my mother didn’t do it with me and i,m not doing it with my other baby.. but i say good luck to you!
Possible gestational diabetes?

I just received a call from my OB today and they want me to do the 3 hours testing because my glucose test came back and they said my sugar level was very high. Anyone here have had experience with getting gestational diabetes during pregnancy? How was your experience? What did you do to control it? What was the outcome of the pregnancy? Thanks everyone, I am just really worried now about my baby ![]()
Yes, I had it with my 2nd baby. I am also at high risk for having it now with my 3rd baby. I will be going for my 3 hour test later this week.
I was able to control it with diet changes. My baby was born 10 days early but normal 7.5 pounds and all was fine.
I cut out white breads, pasta and potatoes. I cut out sugar. My doctor told me to eat low carb foods and to use splenda sweetener.
This time, I am doing the same thing already. I am eating whole grain bread from time to time. I am drinking Chrystal Light and found some great sugar free cookies.
Moms and pregnant moms: Gestational Diabetes and pregnancy?

I was just told I have Gestational Diabetes….I see the nurse on Monday but I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and what happened during your pregnancy and after? Does it go away? I’m 31 weeks along. I know I can read up on it but I’d rather have personal experiences. Thank you.
I had gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy. And frankly, aside from having to watch what you eat, it’s not that big of a deal. Just listen to what your doctor tells you and follow his orders so that way, your baby will be safe. And I do believe they go away after you have your baby. Mine did. However, I think it makes the risk of developing diabetes later on higher.
