I have been … I have been hypoglycemic since I was a child… undiagnosed until later in life. It got worse and worse. Eventually I asked for the tests on my own because no doctor was guiding me in that direction. Anxiety, panic, I know all about it. You think that you are going nuts until you get that blood sugar under control. What a difference knowing makes. I was able to alter my diet and regain some control over my life. Thanks for posting. Many people have no clue about this.

The other point is … The other point is that anxiety and depression often cause a lack of appetite (fight vs flight response wanting an empty stomach) which results in low blood sugar, which causes aniety… so self perpetuating cycle. That’s what happened to me to some extent before I was treated properly for my depression a few years ago.

I remember I passed … I remember I passed out right before lunch in the cafeteria last year, from what I thought was a panic attack. Several days later I passed out with my friends before dinner. I got a blood test two weeks later and passed out during that (I’m not afraid of needles); it was a fasting blood test. That’s when they diagnosed me with hypoglycemia.

yes thats correct … yes thats correct thats a great point, of course i am always used to seeing only very sick people but indeed a big bolus of sugar can make one also have a variety of symtpoms: anxiety, irritablity, confusion, bizzare behavior remember the twinkie defense: someone actually was homicidal and blamed it on the twinkie cupcake and won the case or something like that
