I get that he says …
I get that he says that you get diabetes from not taking care of yourself, but can’t help but ask about the babies that are born with it?? They haven’t even had a chance at a bad lifestyle?

yes, you are …
yes, you are correct, whole grains are best. I am aware of that. As for eggs, i do not eat them. Now, i want to ask you, do you know why grains, veggies, and fruits are “bad” when you are diabetic? Do you know why meats and specific fats are “good” when you are a diabetic? I am fairly well versed in proper nutrition especially now thanks to diabetes. So, as i had said before, I ate properly, exercised extensively for more than a decade and I developed diabetes. Diet can’t be the sole cause.

As mexican living …
As mexican living in the mexican frontier whit USA, i know that you think eating white food is nutritious and correct, all gringos here in the usa site eat a lot of gravies, meats, white flours breads, butter, pies and lots and lots of bad foods, probably eating a whole grain sandwich for you is nutritious, probably eating two eggs for you are nutritious, but is not, in order to eat nutritious you have to eat lots of vegetables, none white food, none sugars, none greases or oils, litte meat

I understand what …
I understand what you are saying. You are descibing the difference between simple sugars and complex sugars and i am. But, in my case, their is a family history hence diabetes is a hereditary/genetic disease and NOT just determined by diet alone. Plus, I’ve read a number of accredited medical studies that have said the exact opposite of what this man is saying here. I know I know, it’s all just big corporate drug company propaganda wanting to keep us all sick so they can make money, right? :)

There are 2 types …
There are 2 types of diabetes . Also you saying that you ate healthy maybe true it may not be. You may think that bread , potatoes , and rice is a healthy diet. When all those foods just become sugar in your body. Hence your eating sugar. I dont know what kind of diabetes but MOST people created diabetes in thier system.

I ate the correct …
I ate the correct foods, aka, high protein/low fat, high fiber, veggies, fruits, ect. I haven’t had a soda in probably more than a decade. I had an active lifestyle/job. All my stats. were 5/5. Then in one and a half months I went from 265 to 180 pounds. I did everything possible to avoid becoming diabetic for the fact that it runs in my family. That leads me to believe that diabetes is not caused by diet/activity alone. Genetic predisposition is the major contributing factor, not food.

psychetruth:

Anyone can develop …
Anyone can develop diabetes type 2 if they eat the wrong foods constantly.

It use to be called “adult onset diabetes” because only adults got it now. Now children in the USA are developing because of our crap diet.

This is why diabetes and obesity are epidemics in the US right now.

And nope, there is no herbal remedy for diabetics type 2. It’s prevented or controlled by eating the correct foods.

September 14th, 2009 | 3:46 am
NoWattz:

diabetes is created …
diabetes is created? I guess genetic predisposition isn’t a factor? My grandmother had it, my father had it, and now, I have it. I guess just a coincidence? Let me tell you, i ate healthy, exercised 2 hours a day, 3 days a week, for 15 years and I still ended up with diabetes. To say that diabetes is a choice is quite a narrow minded and un-educated view. Now I’m sure that you’d like to sell me some outrageously over-priced herbal remedies that say on the bottle not to treat any illness?
