Anyone know how to avoid throwing up during gestational diabetes test?
Posted by admin on Oct 9, 2009
I was tested and had elevated results and now have to go in for the three hour test after fasting for 12 hours….
I already tried the test 2 days ago but had to postpone it because I threw up the glucose "cocktail".
Anyone know any tricks to keeping it down in a fasting state?
the best answer is to keep breathing…I know its silly but its true! Breath through your nose and take your ipod!! Keep your mind off of it!

LAY VERY VERY STILL!! Rub a cold rag on your wrist, neck and head. Also it helps to remember if you throw it all up you just have to do it again… Good Luck

Breathe gently and keep your eyes closed and think happy thoughts. If you’re the type to get motion sickness, don’t read to pass the time.
