It did go away after pregnancy. I was told to check my blood sugar daily and had a level to keep it under for each time of the day/meal. And frankly, aside from having to watch what you eat, it's not that big of a deal. Just listen to what your doctor tells you and follow his orders so that way, your baby will be safe. And I do believe they go away after you have your baby. Mine did.
