If you have gestational diabetes, it boils down to this: keeping your blood sugars within range is the MOST important thing you have to remember. Yes, it's slightly less healthy to be eating fast food than fresh food. But a high sugar is damaging to your baby, whereas fast food will pretty much only affect YOUR weight gain.

I think you are doing great. It's smart to know what you can eat at a FF restaurant and not risk a high blood sugar. Baby comes first, and high blood sugars are your primary concern right now. Take your prenatals so that any deficiencies in your diet are covered. But the carb counting comes first to make sure you don't cause any problems for the baby.
References :
as long as you keep your sugar levels in control its fine, but you really should stick to the fruits n veggies and chicken and a more healthy diet for the babys sake, there isnt much nutritional value in a whopper for your baby, i know it sucks but in the overall its not that long of a time to ensure a healthy baby. your sugars look okay for now but the further along in your pregnancy you get the more insulin your body requires and they may not stay so good if you eat fast food all the time, not to mention there is a ton of fat and cholesterol in those things regardless of whether theyre low carb or not. high sugars are detrimental to an unborn baby so stay in control and take care and drink tons of water
References :
been there

I had gestational 3 years ago...
my numbers werent that bad either.....I only had to do diet as do u.
I would eat from Wendy's a child's meal and a side salad almost daily for lunch and I was fine.....
Actually the nutritionist had me try this and it worked fine....and sometimes I would sneak in a half of a choc chip muffin and it was still fine.
Take Care and good luck.
Sounds like ur doing great.

That diet is an outdated fad. Everyone knows the atkins diet gives you heart disease. Go ahead and eat a bagel. It won't kill you.
References :
Your numbers are not bad, as long as you stay within the carb guidelines you should be fine, that is where monitoring your blood sugar is very important. If you notice higher than usual levels when you eat certain foods, avoid them. Fruits and veggies should be eaten several times daily as they also provide important nutrients and fiber
