im 28 weeks pregnant im dying it brown cuz right its dyed blonde and my roots are 3 inches long and my mom wants me to dye it before my baby shower will the baby be ok any tips?
I’m glad I caught this question before it runs out of time to answer….4 mins left!!!
Okay, it is ABSOLUTELY alright to dye your hair after your first trimester.
Being in a well ventilated area is a great idea, even outside if it’s nice! You should use Garnier Nutrisse as it’s all natural at-home dye, if you have not dyed your hair already!
It is perfectly safe.
yes its fine, just do it in a ventilated area. the chemicals cannot get into your blood stream dont worry. my doctor told me its totally safe. ive had my hair highlighted and im 35 weeks pregnant.

There is no proven fact that hair dye harms the baby while you are pregnant, but OBGYNs will tell you not to. It’s not safe to breathe in the chemicals.

Should be ok, I went to the salon around that time and had highlights, I asked ahead of time too.
If you are doing it yourself, just make sure you are in a well ventilated room and don’t use a strong amonia on it.

My girlfriend is a hairstylist and I am pregnant with my second child. Dying your hair during pregnancy is perfectly fine, as long as you use a no ammonia dye. No store bought boxed dyes, they are FILLED with ammonia. I would say that as long as you are getting it professionally done, it is perfectly fine, don’t do it on your own at home though.

Yes, it’s fine after the first trimester. I just asked my ob/gyn last week!

Yes its safe I dyed mine about once a week the last pregnancy and other pregnancies i had. People would say-oh you can’t dye your hair, but I told them I did it everytime.. just stay away from ash haircolor. Its dyes that have an ash base. i’ve even stripped darker color out and gone lighter. I had 8 babies all full term. That are gifted, so it didn’t affect them at all.

Your not suppose to dye your hair at all unless it doesn’t touch your scalp. If it touches your scalp then the chemicals get into your system. So the best way to insure that is by using the foil method.

most of ur do it home kits very safe even salon safe nothin is proved that it hurts or even ffects nor u or the baby i just dyed my hair ..highlights actually so i used bleach home kit saturday and im 37 weeks so …….enjoy pamper yourself!

You really should ask yourself, is the risk worth it? There are some very nasty chemicals in hair dye (ever wonder why it burns if you leave it in too long?). You really should wait to dye your hair until after you give birth. Don’t put your image interests before your baby’s health. You made it 28 weeks, you can make it a little longer without dying it.

yeah its fine, you can cover your nose and mouth so you dont breathe it in, if youre really worried about it.

I asked the doctor the same thing and I am 28 weeks. she said it was absolutly 100% safe and to stay in a well venilated area so the fumes don’t get to you. good luck

When the dye goes into your blood streem it goes to your baby.
Just so you know when you do dye your hair while pregnant there is a possibility your baby can be born blind.
Painting your nails isnt good either.
