28 weeks pregnant and I accidentally ate an apple sticker?

I was eating an apple just a little while ago and I think I accidentaly swallowed the sticker! In fact I’m almost certain I did, I didnt see the sticker on there but I felt something sticky and filmy go down my throat. Will I be okay? Most of all, will my baby be okay? I am 28 weeks pregnant.

You’ll both be fine! Well, I’m assuming you’ll be fine, but if you’re not, it won’t be from the apple sticker!

yes you and your baby should be okay. Your baby doesn’t actually get anything except the nutrients from what you eat. So if you ate the sticker, it will first be digested in your stomach and go into your intestines. All the nutrients from the apple will travel through your blood to your baby’s blood and through the umbilical cord. Don’t worry.

Lol. I can 100% promise you that your baby will be fine. There are idiots out there who manage to have healthy babies despite drinking a bottle of vodka a day or injecting heroin.

Your apple sticker certainly will not cross your placenta to the baby.

You will be a very good mum as you are obviously very dedicated to doing the best for your baby.

(and I’m not laughing at you. Just reminded me of all the stories about what mom’s find in their baby’s poop while changing diapers. pennies and such. lol)

edit::: OOOOHHHH the sticker for the apple ok, im sorry i thought it was some part of the apple i had never heard of, there was no need for the thumbs down……… im a mommy to a 6week old that has colic so i am in serious lack of sleep and apparently common sense lol

lol, yes you’ll both be fine. if your body cannot break it down then it will just pass from your body when you have a bowl movement. you don’t have anythign to worrry about.

This made me smile. Its okay though- you have nothing to worry about- your digestive sysetm cannot even BEGIN to break down plastic that the sticker is made of, and the adhesive is non-toxic. You might have poo that is labeled "Granny Smith" or something though.
